I'm Rachel, the person doing the sticking, peeling and note-taking behind this site.

My patch education started early. I'm Korean-American, and my aunt in Seoul treated skincare the way other relatives treat snacks: every care package came with sheets of little round patches years before any US store stocked them. As a teenager with a picking habit and a chin that always chose the worst week to break out, I went through a lot of them.

Later I spent three years working the floor in beauty retail, which is where I learned how people actually shop for this stuff: the questions they whisper, the counterfeit horror stories, the "I tried them, they don't work" conversations that almost always turn out to be technique. I've personally tested more than thirty patch products across every category: classic hydrocolloid, daytime invisibles, microneedle, actives-loaded, and one memorable fake that taught me to check sellers before prices.

What I promise on every page: first-person testing, sources named in the text, cosmetic claims kept cosmetic, and a straight answer when something doesn't work - including when that something is a product I paid for and wanted to love.

When I'm not writing about skincare, I'm hiking somewhere in the Cascades or losing at board games.
